Jasmine Maxwell joined the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (ADFS) in December 2021 as a Forensic Scientist in the Implied Consent (Breath Alcohol) discipline and was promoted to Section Chief in March 2026. In her current role, she oversees statewide Implied Consent operations, including the administration of Alabama's evidential breath alcohol testing program, instrument calibration and evaluation, training, quality assurance, and technical support for law enforcement agencies throughout the state. She also oversees the training of more than 4,000 breath testing operators annually and manages approximately 145 evidential breath testing instruments deployed across Alabama.

Jasmine earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Tennessee Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Forensic Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Forensic Science at Oklahoma State University.

She is actively involved in the forensic science community, serving as Secretary of the Alabama State Association of Forensic Sciences (ASAFS) and Vice President of the International Association for Chemical Testing (IACT).
