Andrea Headrick Bio
Andrea Headrick graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Medical Technology degree in 1997. She has been employed with the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (ADFS) since 2000 where she has built a strong technical foundation in drug chemistry and fire debris analysis. Mrs. Headrick has been board certified in General Criminalistics from the American Board of Criminalistics (ABC-GKE) since 2005. Her commitment to excellence and quality has been demonstrated throughout her career at ADFS and she was appointed as the Chemistry Discipline Chief in 2009. Her responsibilities include overseeing technical operations, developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, directing training activities, managing casework logistics statewide, coordinating validation for new and emerging analytes, and overseeing the quality assurance/quality control program in Chemistry. With twenty-five plus years of experience, Mrs. Headrick continues to lead Chemistry through the ever-changing landscape of seized drug analysis.
